Are there any hotels in Orlando, FL that offer free shuttle service to both Disney World and Universal Studios?

I’m going to be traveling to Orlando this summer with my family and we won’t have a car. I noticed that most hotels offer shuttles to either Disney or Universal, but we’ll be heading to both. Thanks!

  1. You might consider staying at a Disney or Universal hotel, whichever one you will be spending the most time at, and just getting a cab or shuttle on the days you go to the other one. The free shuttle transportation is pretty bad. Last time I used it, I used it one day before I got so fed up I rented a car. Disney has excellent free transportation all over property, so you could stay at a Disney hotel and just get other transportation on the days you go to Universal, or rent a car for just those couple of days. That’s what I would HIGHLY recommend.

  2. hi there, as a travel agent i recommend driving yourself in florida, due to personal experiences it makes your experience much better. however if this isnt an option i would suggest staying on International Drive and choosing a hotel that has shuttles to Disney, as Universal, Seaworld and Wet n Wild are all accessible on the I trolley which is the tram that goes up and down international drive. So you will only have a short walk from the tram to the park entrances. This is what many of my customers do and I would recommend it to anyone. A few examples of hotels that would suit are:

    Ramada International Drive Lakefront
    Metropolitan Express

There are lots more, if you search through the amenities on the hotels you will find what they offer. Expedia.co.uk has a list of all the hotels and their amenities.

My favourite hotel in florida though is Seralago Hotel & Suites Main Gate East, it has free shuttles to Disney and for a surcharge will get you to Universal, so this would be a great option. its in walking distance to many restaurants, Old Town, and a mini golf course. simple hotel with two great pools and kids areas.

I really have a hard time thinking of hotels/motels that dont offer free shuttles to any of the major attractions. It would be a good idea to see how often they go to the parks. I have seen a couple of places offer a shuttle only to find out it leaves for the park at 830in the morning and there are only one return trip in the evening.

I would really reccomend staying at a disney hotel because you get free use of disney transportation all through the parks and then when you wan to go to universal take the 40 dollar cab ride since Universal is basically two parks connected by citywalk.

  5. I would recommend staying at a Walt Disney World hotel. It is near to most attractions that tourists visit, and they offer free transportation to all of their four parks. You can also get a Mears shuttle, or cab to Universal, however it is not free. If you stay at one of Disney’s Value resorts it can be around $100, which is usually the price you will end up paying for a decent hotel off of Disney property. At least when you stay at Disney, you know the hotel will be nice, and the service great. Hotels that offer free shuttles to Disney, that are off property, usually only have at the most one shuttle per hour, which can really put a damper on plans. Disney’s buses come every 20 minutes or as much as needed.
