Can anyone help me find a kid friendly hotel in Orlando Florida?
Hi, I’m seventeen and my mother and I have been trying to search for the perfect hotel for our family. There are four of us, two kids (seventeen and nine) and two adults. This will be my sister’s (the nine year old) first time to Disney and my last big family vacation before going off to college. Actually I guess you could call this my first time to Disney as well. You see the last time my family and I (a whole big family thing) I went, I was very little and therefore it’ll be nice to enjoy it. (especially the theme parks ;]). The thing is that we want this to be the absolute best because we don’t go on too many vacations and the ones we do go on aren’t spectacular and therefore we wanted a chance. So we started to look and obviously saw the Nick Resort…which I was a bit disappointed with the rooms because there’s only four of us and therefore we only need four places to sleep but it seemed like the one br suite was too small and then the 2 bedroom only had a kitchenette and then the huge suite was well, not necessary for our 4 person family. But we would go with the 2 bedroom and suck it up haha so we were impressed with the Nick Resort. We weren’t so excited about any of the many Disney hotels or cabins or anythings in Orlando. They all had something that made them a bit gross. Besides, they weren’t REALLY kid friendly. The only thing kid friendly about most of the Disney things were the fact that they had characters on the wall, or showed movies ..oh no wait or had ONE thing in the pool. Let’s just leave it at I was not impressed. Other than that I’m not sure where else to look. Those were the two biggies that we had thought of right off the bat. I’m getting ready to go and explore all of the hotels and resorts near Orlando or even right near the Parks themselves. I figured it would be easier to ask on here to get anyones opinion that has been there.
My question basically (in short) is in your opinion what Orlando hotels/resorts are more kid friendly or kid based or basically which hotel is more entertaining and worth it more so for the kids (yet still enjoyable for the parents.
I appreciate this, thank you!

I don’t know what you saw about the WDW resorts that made you think that they aren’t kid friendly, but whatever you saw is wrong. The value resorts are very much geared directly toward kids (especially All Star Movies and Pop Century).
Besides, how much time are you really planning to spend in the room if you are gong to WDW? Staying on site has so many benefits such as Extra Magic Hours (a must if you are going during the summer or over a school break/holiday).
