2 weeks puts you right at the end of Easter Week which is high tourist season in Orlando. You will have to hunt for a room that cheap. If you can’t find anything on line at that price try the mom & pop places out Orlo Bronson Highway. Prices come down as you move farther away from the Disney entrance AND away from the interstate, though l am not sure if they get below $50 at this time of year. You should be able to get close to it.
p.s. l just went into Yahoo travel & looked for the first week of May. It is possible to find rooms at that price, exact rates depend on weekday/weekend or a single room vs double & some average out to that if you book for a certain number of days. Don’t forget you need to add sales & hotel tax on the room. Start looking now & maybe you can lock something in.
Try lastminute .com or hotels.com also if you find a hotel that you like that’s a good price try their own web page to see if they have any last minute offers or even phone them.
There are lots of hotel rooms in Orlando depending on where you want to stay ie I Drive or the 192 (the cheaper motel type properties or on the Highway 192
The Lee Rd area – has pretty good hotels for $40. This area a number of years ago was used mostly be visitor’s to the Naval Training Center (now gone). The ex Sheraton is less than $30 for a weekly rental.
as long as its not in disneyworld $50/night in Orlando shouldn’t be a problem.
It won’t be very nice though, it will probably be a motel or something. Shouldn’t be too bad.
The best one I just found on Expedia was Days Inn Maingate (47 per night). It is a decent hotel very close to Universal and 5 miles from Seaworld and 10 miles from Disney. All 3 parks are on I-4 and so is the hotel. It is on Major Blvd. Your best bet would be to rent the room for less than 2 weeks. You can find another hotel if you have problems. Rent it 4 night and change up if you are dissatisfied.

Doubt you’ll find anything decent, but you could try Hotwire.com or Priceline.com

That certainly is doable!
