You can stay on property at the All Star resorts, one is Music, the other Sports, for 78 dollars year round. Otherwise, the Radisson Inn Maingate, right on Irlo Bronson Parkway, is very inexpensive and just five minutes from the main entrance to WDW. They have free shuttles running every 15 minutes.

I evacuate to Orlando quite often when we get hurricanes in the FL panhandle. You may want to check out the La Quinta in Kissimmee. It’s right near the park and has plenty of places to eat nearby. The sooner you book your room, the cheaper you can get it. I think the most I paid was 68 dollars and that was peak tourist season. They also allow animals there…and just to mention that I have allergies and have never had a problem with a room smelling like "animal". The rooms are decent and clean.

Here is a list of budget hotels in the Walt Disney World area and there are several to choose from. I put together this list from several sources and then checked each location’s reviews at http://www.tripadvisor.com. Any hotels with a lot of negative reviews or any hotel without recent (2007) reviews was excluded from the list. The are not listed in any particular order – I just added a hotel when I found a good rate and it had okay reviews.

I will be happy to book a reservation for you from this list or any other that you run across and will be happy to help with your Disney questions and travel planning.

  4. There is a flyer you can pick up at the Waffle House and some McDonald’s all over Florida that lists hotels that offer last minute specials all over Florida. You call and see if that rate is available that night. i stayed at the Best Western that way once for about $50.
