Can you use an out of state bank card at an ATM?

Our class trip is to Disney World this coming February.I’m thinking of just bringing my ATM card instead of carrying cash since it is password protected (if stolen or something) and in case of emergency my parents can put more money in the account besides Disney is way expensive and we’re staying for a week, I don’t wanna have massive amounts of cash stashed around a hotel room or sitting in my pocket. However the bank I have up here (M&T) does not exist in Florida, can i still use it at the local ATM’s down there in Orlando? Should I just invest in a pre-paid credit card?

Yes, as long as they except the logo on the card such as Visa or Mastercard but also you need to look out for fees.

  2. Yes, you can if the ATM is part of the same Network as your bank (example: Pulse, Plus). Most are. Note that you will probably get charged a "foreign ATM" fee by the ATM you use and possibly another "foreign ATM" fee by your bank so you should not be using ATMs not associated with your bank unless you really need to.

If your bank has branches in or near Disney World, you may be able to use them without the fees.
