me and my boyfriend are going in June and we are taking $2400. i split it in to $200 each for shopping $300 for fast pass parking refuelling etc.. and then $60 each per day.
you could go cheaper than that but i like to make sure i take to much than to little if you get me.
have fun and go to one of those dinner shows i love them great fun.

  2. check out site below for help.
all WDW menus are on it, so you can see how much eating there will cost.

gas is about $3.25+ a gal.

  3. The most economic way to spend money in the States is to apply for a credit card that, when used abroad, doesn’t add a percentage load to your transactions – that way you don’t pay an extra on top of the exchange rate, e.g. commission etc on cash and you get the lowest exchange rate possible. Cash will always be more expensive than a good credit card – even if its commission free as the bank uses a lower exchange rate. I think the Halifax Clarity is the best one around at the minute. (for use abroad, its not great for use in the UK). Cards are accepted everywhere in the parks – just make sure you pay it off as soon as you get back so that you don’t get interest.

We only ever take about £200 – which covers us for taxis, tipping the housekeeping staff, bell hops etc. Everything else goes on the card.

  7. I went to orlando for 3 weeks but we didnt drive so minus that money i would say you need about 500 minimum to 1000 maximum a week spending

  8. i i went to florida in 2009,and for muy alone i took $2000, i ate when i wanted , bought loads of clothes/soveniers and i came home with $600!! i actaully bought far to much stuff, for both of you i would ssay take about $3000 this means you have plenty for whatever you want to do, and if you dont spend it all its a wee bonus if you have some money left to exchange back! a small tip is all the soveniers they sell in places like all disney parks can be bought in supermarkets and small sovenier shops around florida, these are like half the price you pay if you were to buy them in the parks. this is a tip i definetly picked up and i shopped elsewere. things like your food is quite cheap from supermarkets and a lot of the things like meat etc can be bought in bulk so it will last you for your stay. gas for your car isnt as much as you would think, we only filled the car up once in our 2 weeks there and we drove everywhere and always got lost!. have a great holiday. also you are saving money on buying all your park tickets and flights and stuff just now so this is a big save on money you wont need to take with you.

  9. Budget $75 per day per person per day for meals and incidentals.

Gasoline is about $3.25 per gallon. Make certain the rental car is fully insured. This site has tips for British drivers in the USA (specifically Florida):

The cost of souvenirs and shopping depends too much on what you want. You can prepare by checking prices on sites like:

UK citizens can travel to the USA for up to 90 days at a time as a tourist or for some business purposes by registering for ESTA > before < their trip begins. The cost is US$14, which is similar to the fee for Australian ETA program.

Registering is accomplished online, you don’t need the details of your trip, and the confirmation is valid for multiple trips to the USA over two (2) years so don’t wait until the last minute.

Print the confirmation – or at least record the number – and keep the information with your passport.

Check with your health insurance to find out if it covers you in the USA. If yes then take proof of coverage with you. If no or not sure then get trip medical insurance, which is cheap and sold by airlines & travel agents.
