I am taking my daughter on a cruise and will be flying into Orlando early, what are the must see places?
we will fly in 3 days before our cruise sets sail in early October is this Hurricane season? Thinking of either doing Magic Kingdom ,Epcot center or Animal Kingdom any suggestions we also want to take in some popular sights but not sure where we should go any suggestions…..
All the places you have mentioned are must see disney experiences and I am sure your daughter will love them.
Lucky you going on a cruise thats one on my list for when i grow up, as if that will ever happen lol
have a great holiday ..
you could take her to universal studio or disney world.
The website listed below is the visitor’s bureau, and will give you all area attractions and other information. Hope this helps! =)

October is still Hurricane season but dont let that ruin your plan. The only popular sites here are Disney Universal Sea World. So if MK AK and Epcot is your plan go for it
if you’re going to disney for three days just spend a day each in MGM, Epcot and Magic Kingdom. in my opnion these are the three best parks with the best attractions
MGM: holly wood tower of terror and rockin roller coaster along with nemo and a beauty and the beast show make it an amazing park . at night they put on a show called fantasmic which is AMAZING
Magic Kingdom: when going to disney world magic kingdom is a must. Cinderella’s castle, big thunder mountain, buzz lightyears space ranger spin are just a few things that make this the best park.

Epcot: the ride Soarin is heads and shoulders above any other ride….believe the hype and although the world showcase is not my favorite place i nthe world i can certainley see how someone could love it.
hope i helped and have a great time i disney
Hurricane season is June 1 – November 30. However, don’t let that stop you. August and September are the most active months in the tropics. Hurricane season shouldn’t stop you from traveling.
How old is your daughter? Has she been to Disney World before? I think that would be a wonderful place to take her, especially if you’ve never been before.
I don’t know h ow old your daughter is, but families really enjoy Medieval Times…..it is on International Drive, and is set up like a Middle Ages tournament with jousting, etc., and you eat with your hands just like they would have done back then. This would be interesting for a meal one evening. I’d also see if you could go over to the Cape (Cape Canaveral). Also, Downtown Disney (House of Blues) for some night life. In the day time, October SOMETIMES is too cool to go in the water unless it is heated, or indoors. Disney World would be fine, either Magic Kingdom OR EPCOT, If your daughter is younger (say preteen), I’d say magic kingdom…..if a teenager, probably Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure would be great. There are enough things to do there you could easily take up three weeks, much less three days. And that is without leaving the city.
One little "plus"……depending on schedules, etc, if you’re into sports, both University of Central Florida AND the Orlando Magic are located in Orlando, and I think October is about when the Magic start their season. Check these two websites, and you might just be able to pick up an NBA basketball game or a UCF (golden knights) football game. Obviously, this would be contingent on their schedule and which days of the week you’d be in Otown.
I’ve taken 3 of 4 crusies during hurrican season and never had probelm. We stayed an extra few nights around the port. We went in to Coco Beach a few times. They have some good resturants and the famous ron jon surf shops. There is an awesome raddison hotel by the port. You can actually see your ship from it. There is also the Space Center, that was neat.
The crusieport is about an hour drive away from the airport. if you are going though Royal Carribean they have excursions you can book for the Orlando area, just call them and ask. You might even be on the same ship as my parents. lol.
Have fun!
OK it first matters the age of your daughter and if she likes animals or rides. If she is a teen and likes rides I would say Islands or adventure and Seaworld. Seaworld only has two rides but I think it is worth the whole park itself. Kraken is officially the fastest, tallest, longest and most looping coaster in Orlando. Also the shows are pretty good and it does not get as crowded as the disney parks. If your daughter is younger I would say Magic Kingdom and another park of your choice. Many people don’t know but just outside of orlando in winter haven is Cypress Gardens. This is a much smaller park with some big rides and a really good water sking show. Since many people don’t know about then it does not get very crowded. Also they have gorgeous gardens and a few animal exibits and shops. If you wanted a calm relaxing day where you won’t have to fight the crowds i think this would be your best bet. Universal is mostly rides based on movies and Animal kingdom is just alot of animals and a few rides. Also MGM ( now hollywood adventure) is also about movies with a few rides. Everywhere you go you will have to fight crowds of some sort. Also seaworld will have it’s new waterpark Aquatica open and it is supposedly better than both of disney’s combined. The weather will still be hot and humid and if you need someplace to cool down that would be the best. Hope this helped you!
