I need help with an Orlando trip.?
I’m visiting Orlando from October 25th-28th with a friend and was wondering if anyone could help me find a hotel with these possible requests:
-DEFINITELY a shuttle to local parks and the airport for sure!!!
-Somewhere that’s 3 or 4 stars but still affordable
-Complementary breakfast? Or a place with a cafe/restauarant/mini store?
-DEFINITELY a pool!
-Maybe a spa?
The problem we have encountered is being able to find a hotel meeting most of these needs. We have visited websites such as Expedia, TravelZoo, Kayak, Travelocity, etc…they either have shuttles to just the airport or just the parks. We DON’T want to stay somewhere cheap just to save some money! If anyone can help, PLEASE get back to me! We are trying to contact some travel agents where we live up in the Philly area and we have also contacted people in Orlando. Waiting on word from them.
Thanks!
If you are referring to the Disney parks consider staying at one of the Disney resorts. You will receive the following perks:
– Disney’s Magical Express (free transportation to and from the airport)
– Free luggage delivery to your room (bypass baggage claim)
– Extra Magic Hours (select park opens 1 hour early and/or 1 park stays open up to 3 hours later)
– Free Disney transportation to all of the Disney theme parks, running approximately every 10 to 20 minutes
– Purchases made in the park will be delivered to the front desk of your hotel free of charge
– If you establish charging options on your room key you can view all purchases on one bill
– All of the Disney resorts have at least one pool, and during the cooler months the pools are heated
Also, for the next week or so if you book your vacation and tickets you will receive the Free Disney Dining plan. This Quick-Service plan includes 2 Quick-Service meals and 2 snacks plus one Resort Refillable Drink Mug per person per night of your package.

Disney does not provide transportation to non-Disney theme parks. You will need to rent a car or call a cab.

Off-Site hotels may provide transportation to non-Disney theme parks for free, but many charge for transportation to Disney. Make sure you ask about "hidden" costs.

Off-Site transportation typically does not run throughout the whole day continuously, but rather has a few times a day it runs, making it difficult to come and go as you please. It also forces you to constantly be watching the time so as not to miss it.
EDIT: I am a little confused. Anna said Thanksgiving, but I only see the Oct dates. The Dining Package is avail in Oct, but it is blocked out the week of Thanksgiving.
Have you considered Disney hotels. Those the only ones I know have transportation to both Airport and Disney(if it is where your are going)
If you will be able to get Coronado Spring Resort(you are going during very busy time), you can get room only discount since you do not have enough days on your trip to go with free dining, I think it is around $109 plus/minus. Check Disney.com for exact number, but hurry up with free DP most of the rooms sold already. CSR is moderate resort, with big main pool with a slide and several quiet pools al over resort, there is spa, fitness center, Jacuzzi, food court, restaurant, night club/bar.
Another place I can think of is Raddisson Resort Parkway. It is outside resort between Disney and Universal, *** resort, has 2 pools, 2 Jacuzzi, food court, restaurant. They do not have airport transportation but you can always use MEARS, the main transportation company in Orlando. I do not remember how much but it was affordable, your TA will be able to book transportation for you. Mears use buses and you will have no problem at all, they are very organized, you will show them a voucher and they will get you where you need.
I hate to say it but complimentary breakfast is usually waste of your time and usually available in lower class hotels.
Whatever you decide to do, do it fast, you are going on Thanksgiving, everything will be booked very fast.
Good luck.
Edit:
Sorry, it is October, not November, my mistake.
Free DP for those who stay 5 night minimum, am I right, that is why I believe OP does not qualify for that but still can use room only discount, someone correct me if I am wrong.
Some off site hotels do charge for park transportation but some do not, it is usually in hotel description, but would not hurt to ask.
nick hotel disney hotel if you go to the twins hotel it is across from universal there is alot of hotel trust me i live in orlando ever since
