If your heading to Orlando, a car rental is the best way to get around the city. By having a car, you will be able to avoid relying on the hotel shuttles, cabs and even the Disney Express, you will be able to go where you want, when you want.
Rental Tips
The Orlando Airport (MCO) has 2 sides, side A and side B. All of the major rental car companies are in the terminal and they have counters to serve you on both sides of the airport. You should follow the signs to your airlines baggage claim (even if you don’t have checked luggage) and then proceed to the lower level where the rental car counters are. If you are a member of the rental car company’s elite program, you should proceed directly to the parking garage, which is just outside of the terminal and across the street.
If you are proceeding directly to the garage, it is very important that you follow the signs to your airlines baggage claim, because there are 2 separate rental car parking garages and if you decide to not follow the signs, you could end up in the wrong garage and find that your car is on the other side of the airport.
