How can you get to Universal Studios from Disney World without a car?
I am currently planning a trip with some friends to Orlando. We were planning to fly down, visit Disney world for 3-4 days, and then spend 1 day at universal studios to see the new Harry Potter park. We are all either 19 or 20 and just barely too young to get a rental car. We were thinking about staying at either a Disney resort hotel or a hotel on disney property, so we would have a shuttle to take us to the parks, however we don’t know how we can get to Universal without a car. Do you know of any shuttle or bus system, or etc. to get us from park to park? We would prefer not to use a taxi and free transportation would be great, though not a requirement. Thanks!
Mears runs a shuttle between Disney and Universal – If there are more than three in your group it is almost always less expensive to take a metered taxi. (Up to seven can ride for the price of one) The taxis at Disney or Universal are regulated and safe and you can ask for an approximate fare before boarding. BTW, There is no such place as a new Harry Potter park. It is in one of the two Universal parks.
We are travelling to Orlando later in the year as well. I think you will find that many of the hotels will do a shuttle to Universal, same as they do to Disney World. Perhaps this link will help as well
Orlando has the Lynx Bus, but it is a nightmare to use. Just get a cab.
There isn’t any free transportation or any public transportation from WDW to Universal. These are two companies in competition with each other. They are not going to make it ease for you to go to the other parks.
You will need to call a taxi or I suggest using Mears Transportation. You can book a ride ahead of time and know what the cost is going to be.
This is not going to be cheap.

The best way is to use a taxi service they aren’t that expensive as you think. Mears has shuttle service you may use them they charge per person. The bed thing about shuttle 1. if you not alone i meen more than 2 people you pay them same as you pay a taxi.
2. they have a schedule sometime you have to wait too long.
In my opinion the best way to make a reservation online with taxi company.

why don’t you stay in a hotel on international drive, they give you free transport to all of the parks
