  1. There are more than 2 million cars rentals in Orlando each year. If the average lease is 3 days (very conservative) that would put 17 thousand rental cars on the roads daily. The distance between the airport and Disney is less than 20 miles. That would put over 8 thousand rental cars on the Beachline going to and from Disney each hour. Of course not all head to and from Disney but lots do. Disney, Seaworld, Universal, International Drive and Irio Bronson Rd are all very close together and many, many tourists are in this tight area. That is a whole lot of rental cars in a very small radius. The 2 million registered vehicles in Orlando Metro travel in a much larger radius. So if your friend is in the right spot it may sure seem like the vast number of cars are rentals.

NO WAY / Not even close. The Orlando area is a great market for new and used cars and trucks.
Sure their are many rental cars, but just a fraction of the whole total. There are close to two million cars and trucks registered in the metro Orlando area.

    Oh gosh no! XD
I think your friend was just messing with you.

  4. No, there is no way that all those cars would come from Enterprise and Avis.

Remember, a lot of people at Disney drove in from up north, or simply drove there from their home in Florida or Georgia or thereabout. Some don’t even rent cars, some just rely on public transportation.

You also have SNOWBIRDS. They drive their cars down from up north and stay here for a few months out of the year, many of whom stay in Orlando. Trust me there is no way the city would accomodate that many rental cars.
