Mail Offer: Caribbean Cruise Line's a Scam?

I got the Caribbean Cruise line offer in the mail. I just wanted to know if it’s real or if it’s like a scam. It says in the offer that you are entitled to: 2 people, entitled to ,300 Travel Voucher, 2 night South Florida, 2 nights Orlando FL, a rental car with unlimited mileage, and much more. Does this seem real or just a scam to you?

  1. Is "Caribbean" the actual name of the cruise line? There’s a Royal Caribbean International that is CLIA certified and legit. If it’s that than it might not be a scam. Otherwise. I took a course on cruising studying all the cruise lines under CLIA which is the international association of cruise lines. If it’s not in there it means it’s a cruise line that doesn’t meet their standards of admission and is most likely a scam.

It is not really a scam even though it is not entirely truth full
This is a common offer, you are offered a trip to exotic location at unbelievable prices, but if you read the fine prints, it is likely offered by a "timeshare company" with the purpose of selling you weeks in a timeshare at the location offered
Yes you will get the trip at this special price, but your vacation will mostly be spend looking at a timeshare resort and dealing with sales crew trying to sell you this vacation ownership at a price you cannot afford and not for you to visit the location at your leisure and enjoy the area

I received the same mail offer just a few hours ago. I’ve been doing some research about it and there’s one person on Yahoo! answers that received the same offer and they called and they asked you for your credit card number. So im thinking this offer isn’t entirely legit. I wouldn’t follow through with it. you wouldn’t need to give out your credit card number for something you won. Ever heard the phrase, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t"? that’s what i was thinking when i received the offer. im throwing it in the trash. On other websites some people said they followed through and they actually got the cruise, so im not entirely sure. I think its BS you shouldn’t have to give out your credit card number and did you even sign up for the offer? cause i didn’t. Hope I helped, and good luck! im throwing it in the trash can like i said.

Not really a "scam" per se, but not a quality cruise, either. And you’ll have to listen to a hard sell for time shares. And it only goes to either Freeport or Nassau [can't remember which] – neither of which are great ports.

Go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards" and go to the CCL [NOT Carnival] board and read for yourself. Or go to "Member Cruises" – keep in mind that many of the people posting reviews there are first-timers who don’t know the difference between a quality cruise and a lousy one. Or, click on "Cruise Styles" and see whether there’s a discussion there of this line/ship.
