need transportation from the disneyworld resort to universal studios, orlando…?
i am thinking of getting a rental car for just that one day, but how will i get the car and then get it back???? i am staying at a wdw resort, and they dont provide transportation off site……
Or does anyone have any other suggestions to how i cant get to universal studios on that one day?
I have used Mears before, which is pretty good. But if you want to rent a car just for a day or two, you have two locations on Disney property:
National/Alamo is at the Car Care Center near the Magic Kingdom and also off the main lobby in the Dolphin hotel. So you can just take a bus to one of these places, or sometimes if you call them they will just come to your hotel and get you, no further than it is.
Sure – take a WDW bus to Downtown disney. There are also regular busses and cabs that go there probably would need to take a cab to Universal Studios from there as the bus might be complicated.
You can take a cab or arrange for a car company (ie, Mears, Tiffany Towncar, Quicksilver Tours) to take you. Any, and all, will take you from your resort to Universal and back again.
Enterprise advertises they pick you up. They will pick you up at your hotel and then drop you off. I’d confirm that the branch closest to WDW participate though. There are a lot of other car rental companies that have pick-up/drop-off locations at hotels nearby Disney. Check out the downtown Disney area hotels. You could even get a discount code at http://www.mousesavers.com
Disney has four parks. Why would you spend the extra money/time and effort to go to Universal?
Try going to the Mears transportation web site for cost of a round trip to Universal.
