Taxi/shuttle vs car rental in Orlando FL (and Port Canaveral)?

If arriving at the airport in Orlando, FL and going to Port Canaveral for a cruise, does anyone know the cheapest way to get from the airport to the ship port? I’ve been told that the cruise line (Disney) charges per PERSON to transfer from point A to point B, round trip. Does anyone know of a cheaper shuttle service? Or know about car rental? I’m guessing you can park a car outside of the cruise line port area for extended parking, right?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

    Hello there.
I have to say that I would hire a car and just drive there myself.
Its the fastest, easiest and most convenient way to do it. You may have to pay for parking at the port, but at least you’d know the car was there ready and waiting for your return with no chance of you being let down and it’s much cheaper than a taxi transfer.

A Taxi would cost a lot of money as Port Canaveral is so far away from Orlando- so in my opinion, a hire car would be the best bet.
I did some searching for you and found that According to Access line transportation, a town car is $170 round trip

http://www.orlando-airport-shuttles.com/Port_Canaveral.html were only slightly cheaper at $165 but thats still alot of money.

A 5 day car hire with

In a Chevrolet from the airport and back is around $90, but maybe if you shop around, you’ll find it cheaper.

I’m sure that the extra costs will be worth it as the Disney Cruises are trully excellent.

However you chose to go in the end, I hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip.

    Kind regards
