Transportation options between Disney hotels and other parks/attractions?
We are staying at a Disney hotel and they have a local shuttle between their parks/hotels. We want to go 9 miles off the property to see the dinner shows "Pirates" or "Arabian Nights". We will not have a rental car and are assuming cabbing it will cost a fortune. What are the best options for transportation in Orlando between the local attractions? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
The cheapest option for you would be the Lynx bus system. It’s Orlando’s public transport and will cost you only $2.00 per person one-way ($3.50 for express). They have several pickup locations in Disney World and can take you where you need to go. Here is a link to their website; they have a trip planner you can use:

eaither renting a car, or takein it in the wallet and getting a cab.
You’re spending big bucks to sleep at a Disney Resort Hotel. Isn’t there enough to do within DisneyWorld?
Things to do 9 miles outside of WDW are for those staying in lower priced hotels with cars!
If you want to vacation with all the "Disney Magic" and stuff outside of WDW, I think you should spend half you night at the WDW resort hotel, then some nights at a cheaper priced hotel outside of WDW for the time you’ll be spending at other-than-Disney stuff.
Are you at Disney World NOW??
Right, you’ll either need to rent a car (which you can do on Disney property) or hire some other form of transport. An alternative to a cab, which is always cheaper, and I have never had a bad experience with them, is Mears. Mears does shuttle rides and can share rides, so it is cheaper. You can set it up ahead of time (obviously, you SHOULD set it up ahead of time), and they will come get you from your hotel, drop you off, and pick you up again after the show. However, if you are interested in going some other places in town before the show, it will probably be to your advantage to rent a car for the day.
