It’s a little over an hour. Most people tend to rent a car and pay parking at the pier and find that to be less expensive than transfers.

Go to Yahoo maps and type in beginning city and ending city. It will tell you how far it is and how long it takes to travel.

    Hotels.com for the hotels.

I think it’s an hour to two by car. If I remember right, Kissimme is just south of Orlando. A lot of people officially on Disneyworld trips take a day to go to Cape Canaveral so see NASA.

Port Canaveral is about 65 miles east of Kissimmee, about a one hour drive.

Are you flying to the area? Which Airport?

If you want to stay in the Kissimmee, Orange County, Orlando, Theme Park area before your cruise; then I highly recommend that you rent a car.

My personal preference would be spending time on the coast, closer to the Port. Look for hotels in Port Canaveral, Titusville, Cocoa Beach, or Satellite Beach. You could still rent a car; or you could ask the hotel if they have a shuttle service to the Airport and Cruise terminals. Many of the hotels in this area offer before and after cruise packages, and some include discount tickets to Kennedy Space Center. There are plenty of restaurants, miles of beach, shops, and things to do close to Port Canaveral-and it’s far prettier than the strip of hotels in Kissimmee. The only exception would be if you are doing a Disney Cruise-then you might add on a Disney theme park stay or a stay at the Disney Resort down in Vero Beach-transportation is typically included.
