The transportation is not free, but if you stay at Disney’s hotels they will offer you transportationt to and from the port. Also, if you buy your air through Disney the transfers are included. You just get on a big bus and they will transfer you over. Of course, this is only for Disney Cruises.
I’m not sure about any other hotels in the area. You would have to call the cruise line and see what they offer, or the hotels to see if they have any transportation.
If you are not taking a Disney cruise you will also need to call the line/ask your travel agent on what to do. I only take private transfers and I’m only aware of the Disney transportation, other than private.
Your other option would be to get a private transfer. Depending on what vehicle you use, it usually runs less than what the cruise lines will offer. Anyhow, you can pick from a town car, van, or limo. They pick you up and your hotel and drop you off at the port. Then they will do the same thing on the way home, you can go back to the hotel or to the airport.
You could also do a pre-night stay at port canaveral. Several hotels in the are provide free transportation to the airport.
It may be cost effective for you to rent a car in Orlando and drive yourself to the port. You can return the car at the port. Numerous car rental agencies agencies are permitted to do business at the seaport and provide complimentary shuttle service to their locations off port. All major agencies are located a short distance from the cruise terminals (between three to seven miles).
If you are taking a cruise then you can rent the car when your ship returns and depending on when your flight leaves you can go back to the airport at your leisure. If you’re interested in the Space center you can stop and visit on your way back. There are packages that are available for this as well and they do all the driving and take care of your luggage.
I prefer the car rental because you can stop and eat at a restaurant or tourist attractions at your leisure. Just be sure to give yourself enough time to get back to the airport. You can map quest the time but I believe when we did it several years ago it took about an hour.

You mean Cape Canaveral?
So you stay at their hotel before you leave on a cruise.
