I am torn between 5 different places to move to? Can someone help me choose 1 out of 5 choices.?
I am graduating from cosmetology school in January and I currently live in the New England area and I hate it..The company I am working for is laying everyone off at the end of the month..They are giving us a nice package and I want to take advantage of the plan by using the money to find a new place to stay when I finish school..My choices are Canada, Miami, Orlando, Puerto Rico or Atlanta…I am so indecisive right now and I want to start planing now so when I finish school I can just go..So can you give me a decision and tell me why you chose that place. Thanks

There are so many factors to keep in mind!
I was born in North Africa, lived in Europe, and spent my youth and adulthood in Canada. I’ve visited over 50 countries (I work for an airline) and while there are many nice places where I would settle if I were single and unattached (Thailand, Mexico, etc.), I wouldn’t want to raise my family elsewhere than Canada. Not the perfect country (I’m sure some people will be quick to point out some of the negatives…), but overall far from being in the "worst" category. Canada has a good healthcare system, relatively good education system, high life expectancy and low infant mortality, high standard of living, stable democratic institutions, low crime rate, multicultural and tolerant society. Some of these considerations are objective indicators about how a country fares compared to another one, so you should review them before making a choice (check the CIA factbook for all countries’ ranks for a long list of demographic, economic, social and other indicators). As for where to live in this huge country, my choice would be somewhere in BC because of climate (the Okanagan valley or Vancouver), or Montreal (although fluency in French is strongly desired there for work). For job prospects in your field, I cannot give you any advice as I am not versed in cosmetology and the kinds of jobs you could find here.
Id go with Miami or Orlando
I have lived in Miami, Orlando and Atlanta. I would choose ATL. I think it is an amazing place to live and you can use your degree there.
Miami is the place to be. Lots of tourist activity and great weather.
I think Canada would be nice. Vancouver is meant to be one of the most livable cities there is.
Atlanta has been growing like crazy over the last 5-10 years. It has reasonably good weather, a ton of really nice towns with good shopping/restaurants, good sports teams, people with money who would be interested in what you’d have to offer being a cosmetologist, etc. You could probably even find cheap real estate now. And there is a major airport and you could fly anywhere. I would hesitate from going abroad…what a mess with taxes, buying a home, etc. Miami would be a good second option but it is very expensive. Orlando is way too touristy and not in a good way.
non of these would be my choice. If i could go anywhere it would be Olympia, Washington (the state). It is so beautiful up there!!! And they want to protect their nature. It may get cold, but the winters are real hot. I can’t explain it I just love the state…stayed there for a month one time on vacation got to see so many things. I really love how the love their nature and still have so much of it untouched and protected.
Well, you cannot move to Canada unless you are a Canadian citizen as cosmetology is not a skill that will allow you to emigrate to Canada.
Orlando or Miami
I’ve been to Orlando since I was still in diapers, and I love it alot. Never been to Miami, but Florida is kick-butt
