I am a bit disturbed by the answer that claims that there is nothing to do. The city of Orlando is just a very small part of the area. There are well over 2 million inhabitants and the theme parks are only a part of the economy. BTW Disney World is not even in the city of Orlando. I assume that you do have a vehicle or access to one. The area has all the things you would find in any bigger city. Museums. science center – many, many parks. There are many water related activities. Less than one hour to a good beach. Another half hour and you can visit the Space center, There are so many free or almost free places. We went today to Wekiwa State Park in Seminole county. Great water actvities in a springs fed lake. (constant temp 72F) You can go to Blue Springs Park and swin with the manatees. Downtown Orlando has a beautiful lake (Lake Eola). The list is endless. Check with your search engines. Google or Yahoo. There is a tremendous amountof information.

    Absolutely NOTHING.

  3. This may be your best bet for a website: It used to be a separate site called go to orlando.com but now it is run by a newspaper group.

The other option would be to get a AAA tour book and look and see what they recommend.

There is a lot to see and do besides Disney. Although once you get outside of the themeparks its more of a natural state. There are some cool springs where the manatee often spend thier winters. Kississimee is the headwaters to the everglades so you cna do airboat tours and such. Head on over to the space coast and check out the increible undeveloped beaches. There are some historica ruins of sugar plantations and other historic landmarks all around the area. We actually have a pretty good zoo and some other great museums. Drive down to Florida Natural Grovehouse to see how they produce the famous orange juice. Basically no matter what your intrest is there is bound to be soemthing here for you. Just get a guidebook on Orlando and check it out

florida mall is HUGE and great
    wonder works
International drive (during the day, lots of clubs at night)
hey, check out the college campuses, never too early to get them interested and looking right? UCF is great, recently ranked as a party school, but still very good for academics as well especially for science and math fields (an egn major myself)
drive over and check out kennedy space center
i dunno what u mean by shows, but im gonna guess that rules out medieval times, etc?
