  1. depends on what you want – more nightlife his daytona. more insteresting & relaxing – cocoa. the difference really isn’t much in regards to traveling.

  2. Cocoa-
Daytona is a nasty, filthy place, and the people show absolutely NO appreciation towards their town’s biggest revenue stream, Tourist Dollars!
Cocoa is cleaner and you will be treated better.
I’ve been 30 years in NE Florida.
Check out St. Augustine if you can.

  3. daytona is actually pretty dirty and ghetto for the size of the city and you cant walk anywhere without being bothered by local bums or for that matter law enforcement every time ive been in daytona ive been pulled over for petty stuff. I would suggest cocoa beach. but since there are so many hotels in daytona you can find good deals there

  4. Because I live on the Space Coast(Cocoa Beach,Cape
Canaveral,Kennedy Space Center)I am,of course, prejudiced.Cocoa Beach is friendlier, cleaner, has very nice Hotels at reasonable rates and a variety of dining opportunities.Come on down-your welcome here.

  5. I would strongly recommend Cocoa Beach. Cocoa is the nearest beach to Walt Disney World and is very easy to get to via the Beachline Expressway. In addition to being the nearest beach, it is also the most tourist-friendly beach and is alot more relaxing and enjoyable then Daytona Beach. I would never recommend Daytona Beach because unfortunatly it is very crowded, polluted, and not very enjoyable.

  6. I had to weigh in on this one, as my grandparents used to live in Daytona Beach. I concur with many of the others’ comments, it has become very "ghetto" and dirty. More due to the people that frequent the beach then the beach itself, I think…

I’m not familiar with Cocoa beach but would assume it’s got to be better than Daytona. I do know the beaches around Tampa/Seminole are very nice, my cousin lives there. (Madiera Beach, Reddington Shores, etc.)

Personally, I think the gulf side beaches are nicer than the east coast of Florida…

to choice from daytona or cocoa, i would fefinitely say cocoa beach. their sand is a lot nicer and. u can drive on the beach at daytona, but the sand is wet and very hard. the dry sand is located behind where the people park their cars on the beach, so u can’t see the ocean when ur laying down. but my favorite beach has got to be clearwater though. it’s beautiful there.

as for the parks, since i work for disney, i’ll have to go with that one. they also have a lot more hotels that i know of. all the parks are kids friendly and yet still fun for all ages. universal is fun too, but it’s for an older audience since the rides are more extreme. if ur a thrill seeker, i’d go to universal instead. don’t miss the HULK ride, it’s incredible :P
